Entry requirement: The entry requirement for this course  you must be 18 years old or over. Able to speak and write English along with you must be in-service and have 2 candidates / delegates to mentor / support.

Documents required from you:
You will be required to bring Identification documents such as Passport or drivers licence  along with 1 passport size photographs.

Assessing Competence in the Work Environment is for practitioners who assess the demonstration of competence in a work environment using the following assessment methods: observation/examining work products/oral questioning and discussion/use of witnesses/learner statements/Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

This Competence level consists of the following 2 Units:

Unit 1: Understanding the principles and practices of assessment D/601/5313

Unit 2: Assess occupational competence in the work environment H/601/5314

 If you work as a practitioner like assess the demonstration of competence in a work environment then you need to do competence level Unit 1 and Unit 2.

On the other hand, if you work within the environment like workshop, classroom or other training environment then you need to do Vocational level unit 1 and unit 3.

For Distance Learning:
The distance learning course is done at your own pace with a Tutor’s Support & Guidance. This programme involves self-directed study, e-learning, workshops and one-to-one tutorial. This course is delivered on Blended learning style (You will start this course with distance learning). All necessary materials will be sent to you by Special royal mail delivery once you book the course. The entry requirement for this course is the basic functional skills (Numeracy, Literacy, ICT). However, we recommend the distance learning course for Individual’s with competence or experience. Once you book this course, you will be given up to 12 weeks to complete the assignments. During this time you need to assess to candidates, when it is a competence level. However If you finish earlier, you will be awarded early (You do not need to wait for up to 12 weeks).

(As with all new qualifications they are broken down into units and as such you can complete units now and add to them in the future to gain higher/different recognition).

Certification:
It takes approximately  2- 3 weeks from the date of submission of your portfolio. Regardless of class based , Distance learning or Zoom course – You receive same  standard certificate when you achieve the qualification.

Course assessment:
No formal examination is required for this course, but at the end of the course you need to submit portfolio of evidence.
